Here’s Iain Clark interviewing me about my London Lifestyle Award nomination. Thanks to the votes and support of all of you audience, friends, fans and well wishers, I managed to make the shortlist for the prestigious London Personality of the Year (2012) award.

I am the first foreigner to have been nominated for this award! Other nominees included Boris Johnson, Sebastian Coe, Danny Boyle, Gary Barlow, Zoe Griffin and Henry Conway.

Boris won, as we had all expected! But the nomination has helped my career and I am looking forward to a variety of exciting new projects, which I will tell you all about in my forthcoming blog posts. I hope you enjoy the interview!

Despite the brilliant job they did while working under pressure, none of our British Olympians and sports stars were nominated, which I thought was an absolute disappointment and totally unfair!

The Award and THAT Speech!

And finally, here it is! The most entertaining speech from the event (OK, I’m bragging but that’s what guests told me!). I can’t believe it’s been over a year and a half. How fast time flies!

With the support and votes of my audience, the British public and friends and fans both in Britain and beyond, I managed to win Fashion Icon of the Year 2011/12 at Fashions Finest Awards.
