The little suitcase that accompanied Emmanuel Ray to Gibraltar belongs to artist and illustrator Heiner Radau. Emmanuel fell in love with it when Heiner showed him his private collection of unique items. Purchased around the mid 1840s by Heiner’s great-grand mother in Berlin, it has been around the world and surprisingly, is still in good condition.
The clutch bag is from the 1940s and went perfectly with the first outfit Emmanuel Ray wore during Fashion Week Gibraltar. He teamed it up with this red & white striped shirt with Retro tie detail, custome made for him by Isaac Kotlyarevsky. The belt and shoes are from Retro Days collection.
Heiner’s suitcase and bag were also supposed to be included on this yet-to-launch collection, but he changed his mind shortly afterwards. Frankly we can’t blame him! Click Here to see Emmanuel talking about these pieces.
Also seen in the photos are Anjali Soneji (PR Assistant at Fashion Week Gibraltar), the event’s founder Reene Weston and designer Jane Langdon.
